Tips for the first holidays with your baby
The holidays are always special anyway and this year there is something extra: your baby will experience his first Christmas. This will be incredibly fun and special for you, but how exactly do you go about this? The holidays are cosy and festive but, above all, busy. Especially as a brand-new family. Baby's Only shares tips for the first holidays with a little one.

Tip 1: Organise a Christmas breakfast, lunch or brunch
By organising a Christmas breakfast, lunch or brunch, you shift all the festivities to earlier in the day. That way, your child will be more present during all the fun: from unwrapping presents to eating together. It also gives you more time and peace to put your child to bed in the evening. Ideal!

Tip 2: Take a long Christmas walk
The bleak, dark days make you prefer to stay warm inside, but did you know that a walk with your little one does a lot of good for both of you? It relaxes you to process all the stimuli and gives you fresh energy. Use a warm pram footmuff for your child, dress warmly and go outside when it gets too much inside.

Tip 3: No plans on Boxing Day
Ideally, you would like to please everyone with a visit, but a day of rest after all the Christmas hustle and bustle can be very nice. For instance, you can plan all appointments on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, leaving you with nothing to do on Boxing Day. Mess around at home, watch a movie or play with your child's new toys together.
